We are down here staying with them in St. Teresa FL. He was walking his two dogs this morning around a pond close to their house. An alligator attacked and dragged Millie into the water, under the surface. Gone.
I think her uncle is on the phone with fl wildlife right now, haven't talked to him about it. We were walking on the beach when it happened. Pretty sure he witnessed the whole thing.
Sitting here beside the other dog now, she witnessed it too. We're all in shock. Crazy shite.
updated for pics of the gator

I’m assuming they weren’t on a leash?

I guess to maybe take this gator out?
Idk maybe that's not who he's talking to. I'm not certain. He definitely wants to eliminate the perp though.

RIP Millie. True Warrior in this crisis. Gave her life.

Saw a video yesterday of a gator getting a dog. Poor thing slid down one of those concrete embankments

Where the hell else is an alligator supposed to live? Uncle went to the gator’s home.

RIP in peace Millie

Sucks, but at least it wasn’t the uncle. Gators have done this to people in recent years.

Fwiw it probably hasn’t eaten the dog yet it just dragged it under and drowned it

That is fricked up. I have a Pomeranian, and one of my fears is something like this happening.
