Getting rid of social media is a liberating experience

Obviously this doesn’t apply to everyone here since many of you don’t have social media, but particularly for those with Facebook or instagram, I can’t recommend enough getting rid of or at least taking a break from social media. If you’ve put it off, it’s a good time. We took a family trip this week and I decided to deactivate Facebook and instagram. Has gotten my mind out of a lot of this bullshite going on and has helped me focus on some family time for a bit. It’s a great feeling and well worth it. 10/10 would deactivate again.

TD doesn’t count since I’m not being inundated with posts about what a repulsive racist I am day in and day out. Also doesn’t take up as much of my time. Find myself on FB and IG too much for really no reason.

I did the same last week. I love it. However my girl has not, so I get to listen to her telling me everything idiotic thing that’s still going on there. Can’t win them all I guess.

Same here. Facebook is basically a mix of an ad agency and the poliboard

Deactivated Facebook last week. Feels fantastic. The only thing I miss is the memories feature and seeing old pics of my son and the ease/ convenience of communicating with local businesses

I love when folks say they have purged social media. Yet, still post on tigerdroppings.

TD isn’t social media. I’m getting off all of it except TD
Facebook
Instagram
Twitter
Snapchat
Is social media. It’s where women feel power and productive in life when in fact they are lazy attention seeking whores

If you can’t see the difference between Facebook and tigerdroppings simply because you’re attempting to make some gotcha post, then I don’t know what to tell you.

I’m a millennial, and I completely agree. Social media is the plague.
