Yeah, don't sound right to me. The exchange rate is close is 1:1.15. With that said, the items he cited the reasons for not taking it is no where near close to the $300 K difference. Now, I'm not sure what city in Germany he's in and you could factor in some indirect advantages of Germany maybe, but again, I know nothing about Germany.
