fricking hilarious. 73 downvotes and like no upvotes for a law intended to mitigate the issue all the gun folks love to blame...psychiatric problems.

It's like they have no idea what Red Flag laws are, just hear that they're anti-2nd amendment from whatever far-right nutjob they listen to or watch.

"Durrr durr durrr it's the person shooting the gun, not the gun."

"Good point! We should take guns away from people who display worrying, psychotic behavior so they can't act out"

"Durrr durrr durrr, that's against the 2nd amendment!!!!!"

"But you just said..."

"Durrr durr durr mahguns, patriotism, freedom"

You progressives are to blame for that.

Yall have reneged on nearly every promise or bargain your party has ever made for “concessions”.

Reagan’s immigration agreement is a perfect example.

The second you progressives are given an inch, you take a mile.

You can’t be trusted.

Were you interviewed by the FBI a few months prior for making online threats about shooting up your school?

Your party's solution is to just prescribe more pills or cut the individuals penis off. I would sit that one out chief

Dad was interviewed by FBI yet was still allowed to buy a rifle. Great job enforcing background checks. That's why ppl don't want more laws. The current ones aren't even enforced. Why do we need more laws? Answer that. Answer that one simple question. What new law would stop this versus the laws currently on the book.

i hope you have learned him about the appropriateness of not using his gun to shoot people at school. the problem today is too many folk don't teach their kids about the appropriateness of not using their guns to shoot people. It ain't like the old days where 14 year olds were more mature any time in history.

Gun laws wouldn't have done shite to prevent this. Hate when people try to use school shootings to justify their politics. For all we know this was an fbi/cia inside job created just to cause this kinda political argument.

Shut up and open your eyes and observe. Neither side is gonna save you from this shite.

The only escape is to not vote for Anyone with a D or an R next to their name at any level of government. Now have a nice day folks it's Friday

Dad wasn't disqualified by background check because he has a clean background. Red Flag law, due to having a noted unstable individual living in the home, would have not only disqualified him from purchasing, but would have removed all weapons from his home.

What? This is a state-level law and exists in many states. WTF are you on about?

Red Flag laws likely wouldn't have prevented this shooting. The kid didn't buy the gun, he wasn't old enough. The father bought it. Unless you want to advocate for extending those red flags to family and friends, which if you do.....you can go frick yourself.

Uh, guardians in the home of a kid who literally made threats to shoot up a school shouldn't fall under Red Flag Laws? Seriously?

See above "durrr" dialogue.

frick off.

kid makes a "deemed threat".

fbi barges in house, we need all your weapons now, your gun rights are now immediately revoked.

this is your literal argument.

He was questioned by the Jackson County SO and they found no evidence proving the kid made the threat.

Should a background check show anytime someone was questioned by LEO? Should that prevent them from buying a firearm?
