There is no gray area about unexpectedly slapping people. He slapped a woman he didn’t know on the buttocks and ran away laughing. She is a journalist and it happened on live TV thus has no choice but to address it. His apology was pathetic and insincere.
If a random incognito guy forcefully slapped your wife or daughter’s arse on live TV while she was at work, and that moment became an immortal viral gif meme, would you advise her to just accept the permanent fallout as bad luck and forgive him?
