Sexual battery is defined as an "unwanted form of contact with an intimate part of the body that is made for purposes of sexual arousal, sexual gratification or sexual abuse."
It was definitely unwanted contact with an intimate part of the body, but with so many people around and it being on tv, it seemed more like a spur-of-the-moment , "look at me" move.` The guy is obviously a jackass, but the public shaming should probably be enough.
Not sure where you got your definition but i don’t think it’s Georgia’s

He will also be charged with “Possession of another’s power” and judge will order him to return it.

Holy shite, amazing that we have to pull out the articles for this shite.
I mean he already replied to the first time I posted it arguing the butts only sexual for gays... so I’m only taking his arguments and feigned ignorance of it being included so serious.... but figured worth posting for the crowd again.
It’s charged spot on for the act and the consequences are relatively limited unless the judge gets real crazy.
I’d advise him not to use the “I meant to hit her shoulder” defense though. His wife might go with it for their family’s sake, but nobody else is buying it and might dig his hole deeper

It's the legal definition found online, but every state is obviously different. It's possible that Georgia doesn't include the final caveat.

IMO, that was way more offensive than the harmless arse slapping of that pasty white fatass brawd
She clearly identifies, at every available opportunity, as a proud Latino, you racist.

If she was as violated, objectified & embarrassed as she said she was when she put it on Twitter she wouldn’t have put it on Twitter She could have walked into the local PD, reported it & pressed charges
She did that. Someone else put it on Twitter first. It was on live tv and people were already posting about it. She’s not trying to make a name for herself like this. The public discussion and outrage would be happening no matter what her reaction was. That smack, that it happened on live TV, and replayed millions of times on social media wasn’t up to her.
That is what she means by “he took my power.” He publicly humiliated her, aggressively touched a private part of her body, and physically hurt her. Now she is forced deal with it socially and professionally whether she presses changes or not. His little “unintentional lapse in judgment” affects her no matter what she will say or do about it. If she said it was no big deal, she’d be vilified too.
This is simple. He clearly assaulted her and she is absolutely reasonable to press charges. He was even grinning as he slapped her arse forcefully and continued running. That is not normal or funny! How is SHE the problem because he did something wrong None of that makes her an SJW. This isn’t political.
Why is this so hard to understand? It’s kind of bizarre that some people don’t get it.

(a) For the purposes of this Code section, the term "intimate parts" means the primary genital area, anus, groin, inner thighs, or buttocks of a male or female and the breasts of a female.
Why not the breast of a male? Double standard

Twitter
She retweeted it & has retweeted every news story with her name in it
He slapped her butt, he didn’t physically hurt her. He would have physically hurt her if he would have punched her.
Had he humiliated her she wouldn’t be tweeting it over & over, that is not someone who is humiliated does, they do not continue to bring attention to themselves.
The man was wrong, should be charged & fined, required to attend sexual harassment class or something but turning to the internet or continuing to push the story & create outrage is BS.
I have yet to see a women who was violently & brutally raped blast it on Twitter.
That is real humiliation. That is real trauma. Not having your arse slapped.
I am a female & I am sorry it happened to her but the victim mentality is ridiculous.

He slapped her arse while she was reporting live on TV. How do you know how she feels? She obviously felt humiliated and stated such. You being female has no bearing on how she should handle it.

It’s just the way she’s trying to have her cake and eat it too. “He took my power.” That’s such a bitchy thing to say. He violated her private space. That’s wrong. He didn’t take anything away from her though.
Being a close talker is violating private space and that kind of thing can be addressed politely.
Running up behind a complete stranger and very forcefully slapping them on the buttocks is a sexual assault. Period.

Perhaps he shattered the illusion of power society has tried to convince women they have.
Are you fricking retarded? It isn’t about “female power.” No one, male or female, wants that kind of unexpected, unwelcome, and painful contact from strangers.

So, as a self proclaimed woman, you are saying everyone reacts in the same manner to sexual assault?

This is a fricking joke that trivializes actual assault.

In Georgia, you only have to register as a sex offender if you get a 2nd conviction of sexual battery.

It’s assault & he was wrong but if you are humiliated you don’t bring more attention to yourself
That’s human nature

How is the arse a sexual part of the body? Didn’t these same people make sodomy illegal.
Posted on 12/14/19 at 12:48 pm to LSUJML
It happened on live TV, it’s not like we only know about this because she is making a deal of it, more power to her for trying to take the guy down
