but continuing the “just a jogger” narrative is disingenuous

I just think it is funny the details that people get hung up on. A guy was murdered, but a lot of people seem to only care about is "BUT HE WASN'T JOGGING!!!!!". I mean, why the hell should it matter? Those 2 guys deserve to go to prison for a long time.

If CNN and their headlines triggers so much, then stop watching CNN.

If you expend this much outrage and attention for every murder, you’re going to be one busy, and mentally ill, guy.

Don’t play coy. You know why people are focused on the jogger aspect of the story.

An innocent boy was just jogging and was hunted down by two white supremacists and gunned down on the street he was simply jogging on in cold blood.

And we are twisting the narrative?

The lack of self awareness!

A man was seen walking/jogging through the neighborhood. At which point he entered into a house that was under construction. A short time later, he left that same house running away. At this time, calls to the police are made of a man checking out the construction zone.

During this same time, the Mcmichaels see Ahmad running in front of their house. They think he looks suspicious and could be the guy who allegedly burglrized homes in the past. They grab their guns in order to detain the runner for a Citizens Arrest. The McMichaels attempt to cut off the runner multiple times was unsuccesful. Ahmad seeing that he is followed by some strangers yelling at him in an unmarked van tries to run away, but they are too reluctant. Ahmad, still running, has a truck following him, and a truck parked in front of him with unknown individuals yelling at him with guns drawn. In a last ditch effort after he sees he will not be able to run away he fights with a man holding a shotgun. During this scuffle, the man is shot, and dies.

No need to embellish a story one way or another for your narrative.

Me: "A guy was murdered"

Mo Jeaux: "Why are you expending so much outrage?"

What about this situation makes you think GBI needs a cleansing? They reviewed the evidence and made an arrest in 48 hours.

Yeah, I think this is aimed more at the DA offices that sat on their hands here. GBI did their job. The DA office is the one who didn't do their job because they didn't want any "conflicts" since the dude used to be a cop.

Georgia law is clear on this. A citizens arrest is possible only in response to a violent felony. Nothing Arbery is accused of in this scenario rises to this level. Trespassing is a misdemeanor.

To me, that makes the rest of the entire scenario moot. Since it is not a crime where a citizens arrest would apply, the two men brandishing weapons cannot invoke self defense/stand your ground. They escalated the situation by bringing weapons into it.

The real interesting part of this is something I have not seen discussed here- the forensic evidence. It shows that Arbery likely killed himself by his actions in grabbing and twisting the shotgun, causing the weapon to discharge.

The ones defending the killers are the ones repeating this nonsense ad nauseum. Nobody is saying that. He was trespassing. Misdemeanor. So your BS narrative of a citizens arrest goes up in smoke too.

Bottom line is they should have let the cops handle it. If the old guy wants to still play LEO to feed his power trip, then he shouldn't have retired. Otherwise, let the real police sort it out.

It as absolutely inarguably insane that our country is running a national news story on a random isolated case of murder in a tiny shite hole county in Georgia and both the media and our citizens are vehemently arguing and extrapolating the current day inherent societal racism from it.

Do you know how many men of all races went jogging last week through all kinds of neighborhoods and didn’t get shot?

I cannot comprehend why the entire collective media and populace gives a frick about this one isolated incident where a couple of morons killed a possible moron.

Yes, a lot of people did jog last week who didnt get shot. Thats the point, that's the way it is supposed to be. The fact that this young man ws not only shot and killed, but the department apparently covered it up and the shooters were walking the streets for over 2 months is pretty fricked up nd makes it a big deal. They only ever got arrested because the public found out.

If they would have been arrested and charged in the beginning, we never have this discussion.

Wait..are you triggered because in a completely separate thread, I said that the guys in the truck who were riding on the arse of the OP were probably blasting shitty bro country music? And you've transferred your hurt feelings from that thread into this thread?

lmao, sorry if you listen to shitty bro country music. At least this all makes sense now.

My defense of the guy has absolutely zero to do with whether or not he was "just jogging." He wasn't. He was trespassing. The father and son are still wrong.
