oh for fricks sake.

truth doesn't matter anymore. if you 'feel' this was injustice because it warms your heart, then that is reality.

Witnesses say they did knock and announce they were the police.

quote:

Cameron said that his investigation shows that officers knocked and announced themselves as police before entering Taylor's apartment. He said this was corroborated by a civilian witness who was near Taylor’s apartment on the night of the shooting.

I think it was Dave Chappelle who said "No one gives a frick what celebrities think."

“I remember right around September 11, Ja Rule was on MTV. That’s what they said: ‘We got Ja Rule on the phone. Let’s see what Ja’s thoughts are on this tragedy.’ Who gives a f*ck what Ja Rule thinks at a time like this? This is ridiculous. I don’t want to dance. I’m scared to death. I want some answers that Ja Rule might not have right now. You think when bad sh*t happens to me, I’ll be in the crib like, Oh! My God, this is terrible. Could somebody please find Ja Rule? Get hold of this motherf*cker, so I can make sense of all this. Where is Ja? Help me Ja Rule!”

See, I don't even think this is relevant. The police had a legal warrant. Even if Breonna was totally clean, that wouldn't make this case murder. It's a terrible tragedy, but it's not murder.

No, by the laws on the books it's not murder.

But an officer lied about information on the warrant to obtain it. And didn't even catch a charge for that, just got reassigned to a cushy paid position.

That's the issue IMO. It's systematic corruption that will never get addressed because people on both sides of the argument have an agenda that needs to be pushed instead.

They announced they were police before knocking their door in.

Even if it's proven the cops announced first, how can it be proven that Breonna and her bf heard that announcement or could make it out clearly amidst all the banging and everything going on.

Is he ashamed of the decision based on the original "white murderer cop sneaks into apartment and murders sleeping black girl" narrative or is he ashamed at the decision based on the real narrative?

Clooney hasn't read the evidence

no sane famous person tweets that BS if they have taken the time to study the facts and evidence available

I spent an hour reading that long report full of recorded phone conversations...

Taylor kept bad company
did illegal things
Police came knocking, boy friend shot police thinking it was the old boyfriend.

the list goes on and on (money, rental cars with dead people)

Taylor was involved, she is responsible for the company she kept and the activities she was involved in

The cute photo the media uses and false narratives that came out early on have done a ton of damage

that's unfortunate

anyone protesting on Taylor's behalf is a complete fool and out of touch with reality and should not be a parent...

Obviously there's no way to ever know that but the report that they didn't knock or announce themselves appears to be false like a lot of other details.

That's something I wish was highlighted more. Has this part of the story been officially confirmed or denied? I'm very intrigued cuz I've seen it thrown around but I don't know the validity of it.

Personally, imo if the officer really did lie or falsify information in order to get a warrant pushed through, that is grounds for automatic termination. In addition, I wouldn't mind if he faced some sort of legal punishment (not necessarily a full murder 2 charge) for any deaths that occurs as a result of the falsified warrant.

Clooney is Hollywood through and through, and got out of Kentucky as fast as he could, because it was too "backwards" for him.

Do you realize this happens ALL THE frickING TIME in any profession you can name?

Take Exxon, for instance. They traditionally lean on hiring minority operators. Minority operator fricks up and causes a major spill/release, or a potential to kill somebody by fricking up. Instead of getting fired, they move him/her to a different position making the same pay. I used that example because I know that it 100% happens all the time.

Anybody on this board could name any profession and give an example of that same story.

This isn't a black/white thing. It's not a travesty. It might be a travesty in the sense that it happens everywhere, but it isn't a travesty as though this was an isolated case and the cop who lied wasn't reprimanded exclusively.
