Angle Township, Minnesota is completely cut off from the US by Canada. To drive from Angle Township to any other place in Minnesota.. you have to cross into Canada.

Agree - Have driven LA to NE NM many times and love the landscapes. Once past Wichita Falls it finally feels like the West. Gaining an hour at the state line is a boost - once drove solo from BR and made it to Cold Beer, NM (near Raton) while the cover band was still playing.

By contrast we drove Monday from Clarksville IN (across from Louisville KY) to NO and hit 6 states in 10 hours. Driving Nortwest, that would only put you just past Wichita Falls. Texas is big.

It’s much closer than that. Do mean by car if you take a specific route?

It is Easternmost. East and West are not determined by the International Dateline.

You're talking about the prosperous Rocky Mountain Front. Eastern Colorado is meth and young people fleeing dying small towns. The Western Slope is dependent on the boom and bust cycles of oil and gas. Sounds kinda familiar.

When you cross the border into Mexico, the border guards ask you, "Do you have any drugs in your possession?" If you say "No." they ask you "Would you like to buy some?"

Not a geography fact, per se, but, Mississippi is culturally the state closest to Africa.
Jackson is basically Kampala.

Don’t ever ask an Ole Miss fan how to get to Atlanta. They’ve never been there and they have no fricking clue how to get there.
