*taxpayer dime. The govt has no money that it doesn't get from taxpayers. People need to remember that when voting.
At this point with the record deficits and debt nearing or exceeding 40 trillion dollars. Taxes only cover a portion of expenses. One day soon, interest on the debt will be the largest expenditure in the federal budget. It ceased being taxpayers money several trillion dollars ago.

If I asked a Boomer to list everything that bothers them or is otherwise wrong with people/their community/the world, it would have hundreds, if not thousands of entries. If I then asked them how many of those are either their fault personally, or the fault of people they consider to be “like them”, how many do you think I would get? How many would they say is the fault of someone, anyone, else?
I don't consider myself as part of some group collective. True, I don't take responsibility for anyone else just because they are in my age bracket.
You think I'm responsible for high housing costs, for example?
Seems that was caused by the mass illegal immigration based on the new report.
So what is really my fault?

Seems like you would be the one to know.
So you get proven wrong with facts and result to name calling.
Very intellectual of you.

You might want to get that log out of your eye, bud.
I'm fine with the posts standing for themselves. Your selective timeline can be judged against the total timeline. You can feel warm and fuzzy about your conclusions (which, as I've said, I don't disagree with), but your view is unfortunately incomplete.
I don't care that you don't see that, so no need to respond. Those who care to read can develop their own opinions.

This is far from universally true. About 2/3 don’t have near enough saved for retirement. The ones that are best off have defined benefit pensions. There’s a reason social security is such a sacred cow.

defined benefit pensions
All govt pensions need to go away. Move them all to a 401k type of plan. Taxpayers should not be on the hook for all these early retirees living 50 years after retirement

It’s kind of going that way. The Louisiana system is already adjusting downward to accommodate that issue. The pension system is getting less beneficial to workers compared to the original format. They pay in a higher percentage and get less back and have a higher full retirement age.

Anyone pointing the finger and blaming anyone else, including a whole other generation for their own failures and bad decisions in life is the worst kind of loser in life there ever can be.
If you have adopted that attitude, then you are absolutely irredeemable and miserable to be around.

Just got to love millennials.
Thinking that they are some high brow group full of college degrees that are worthless on a practical level.
Look at demographic make up of democrats and socialists. Easily led by the nose becasue of 10 second tick tocks and social media.
