Chevy doesn’t. I think

What’s your point?
Do you whine about people buying sports cars?

If people only bought what they really needed, everyone would be driving Prius and minivans.

Our economy would be screwed if people were financially responsible and only bought things they truly needed. I indirectly derive my income from Americans buying 60k dollar trucks.

200k miles is just breaking in most domestic trucks and full sized vans, and full sized SUVs.
Maybe if you’re driving exclusively on an interstate and not really using a truck for the purpose it was intended. Using a 4WD for construction, farming, or oilfield work is a whole different animal.

I imagine that a lot of people would be in different vehicles, and wore different clothes. The average age of every car on the road would be much higher.
Entities other than fleet managers would appreciate those long wheelbase pickups and vans with the black bumpers:
And yeah, the economy would be in deep shite across the board.

I have owned 4runners and Tahoe’s. The 4runners were head and shoulders above the tahoes as for as quality. I now own a f150 and it has been fine so far (13,000 Miles). I do have a whistle sound when going between 35-40mph that I will have to get looked at.

GM often beats Ford in 1/2 ton sales, but they would have to talk about the GM/Chevy comparison, so they just let Ford have the marketing points for "best selling".

have owned several Tundras and I think they are best truck out there. I put ‘em thru hell and they were all still going strong at 200K miles.
Your Toyota trucks don’t know anything about hell. I’ve driven f-350s for almost 20 years. The one before this one pulled 50,000 lbs around a construction site (exploded the torque converter once), hauled 15,000 lbs of horses and trailer anywhere from Texas to Florida at 85 mph+ on open roads. Got the oil changed every 10k miles. At 230k miles, it was finally rear ended at a red light by a car going 55 mph with a passed out driver who flipped my truck. It sat on it’s side for 3 hours leaking ATF, engine oil and who knows what else. Had the tow company tow it to my house to wait for the insurance co to come pick it up. Bored one day, tried to start it and the damn thing, all smashed to hell, cranked up and ran like a new truck. I hauled arse around the block a few times burning the tires up to say goodbye.
This one’s had a lot easier go of it. It pulls hay and hores and hauls me all up and down the East Coast for work. 244k miles and all I’ve ever done is change the oil and put diesel in it. I’ve thought about getting a new one but there’s no reason to.

Ive been a Tundra driver for the last 12 years. I test drove the high end Tundra and then test drove the Ford King Ranch. There was no comparison. First time I’ve ever owned a Ford and couldn’t be happier. My truck has everything you can think of in it. Time will tell on the reliability. I never had problems with the Tundras for the record. That was my only concern switching to Ford.

I have a Tundra, and my main qualm with them is the lack of creature comforts available in most trims. My Dad bought an F150 around the same time as I bought my Tundra, and his interior blows mine away. My 2017 CrewMax doesn't have a sunroof, leather, heated seats, remote start, folding mirrors, a 110 outlet, or even minor stuff like automatic windows or tire pressure sensors.
I don't have any complaints about reliability yet, but Toyota is so far behind the US manufacturers in terms of amenities and interiors.

They have the smaller pickup which Ford does not have.
I bought my 86 yr old father a new Colorado 4-door work Truck 4-door paid $21,500 after rebates. His next step will be bumper cars or kids electric car.
Thank me now all you baws for getting him out of a fullsize truck. Warning he puts around town from 9 am to 1 pm it’s like bumper cars.

If you really need all this shite, then you really don't need a truck.

My fathers 4 cylinder 4-door truck has vinyl seats and vinyl floor. Power windows, locks, gm version of Ford sync, backup camera, enough plugs for smart phone which he does not need, and heated mirrors and heated rear view glass.
I was surprised a work truck came with so many options.

I love my GM products. That said, they all
Make decent products. Just depends on what you want.
I will agree with those that say most trucks aren’t used like a truck. If you do use one as intended, you know Toyota can’t hold a candle to the big 3. But heaven help the big 3 if Toyota ever offers a 3/4 or 1 ton full size truck.

Never said I needed them. But when I'm paying that much for a truck, it'd be damn nice to have them.

I thought the Sierra and Silverado.combined has always beat the F150. It's two separate vehicles, but GM likes to use combined sales when saying they beat the f150.

I read that Ford is answering this by coming out with a new Ranger mid sized pickup for 2019 and a new compact Fiesta-based miniature pickup for 2020.
