I’m 48, married, two kids....wife hasn’t worked in 13 years so I’m pulling the cart. Target is to retire at 60.

When I retire I’m going to get trashy....smoke weed, distill my own liquor, fish, golf and play video games. Pull the old crew together and do some shrooms. Maybe fix up an old Jeep to drive around in.

Is this bad?

Can’t sail...I’m afraid I’d kill myself.

Travel. Buy a $150k travel home and just drive.

That and/or move into a cabin in the mountains in Colorado

smoke weed,

Why wait for retirement? I’m the same age with the same family make up and I smoke weed on the reg.

Or do you mean all day? I mostly just smoke on the weekends. And by smoke I mean edibles because smoking stinks up the garage.

Become a professional, travel ball heckler. Sit in the press box behind home plate and let fly like all the old-school, alcoholic, plant dads in my little league days.

Move to a cooler, mountainous area. Smoke a little pot and do some fly fishing, hiking and maybe the occasional round of golf.

How do those things work baw? I like what being on weed feels like but don’t like smoking either. Also a Gen X dude and starting to not be able to handle my hangovers or extra calories of beer. So was thinking of picking up weed.

Is it like a candy? A brownie? Like a vitamin but it gets you high?

As for op question. I think I’ll travel when retired. Longer trips that I can’t take today for a month at a time. Hike across the country type shite.

Mid 40s, and while i have a decently healthy 401k- it’’ll probably be nowhere near enough for me to retire anything considered ‘early’- ie before 65 or 70 yrs old.... SO...

... lately I’ve been seriously considering the trend of retiring abroad.. in places like Thailand, or Costa Rica, or Ecuador, or Malaysia- your money *can* go a lot further (though not always).. it isnt ideally what i’d like, but it makes sense if you want to exit the rat race before it kills you.

I'm closer than you, but not there yet. Think about retirement every day it seems, which is making it harder.

I hope to have enough money saved to travel some more, and more regularly.

I like my field and career but I'd retire tomorrow if I could.

Honestly, they’re pretty inconsistent. I have a friend that buys those pretzel nuggets, tosses them in weed butter, and bakes them until the butter is absorbed. I’ll eat one and be higher than giraffe’s pussy one day, then eat one the next day and not feel a thing. They also take a good 90-120 minutes to kick in. But the high lasts a good 8-9 hours when it’s a good dose.

I was doing the vape thing, but the ones I was getting were those bootleg ones making people sick so I quit them.
