what is a healthy 401k? If it truly is healthy, you should be able to retire earlier. Good news is you have a ton of time to still invest properly and retire early.

I have a pretty laid back job with great retirement and benefits. In a few more years I'll be getting over 26 days a year vacation, plus we can flex flex time. I plan to down size my house and get a camp on the water somewhere.

I was born in 1965 so I’m a Gen Xer by 10 months. I’ve already retired once fromFedGov and I decided to do a second career for a few more years doing basically the same occupation for the State of Florida. My wife is in the corporate world so she has five more years to go u til she can touch her 401k.

We started our plan six years ago by buying a small house at StAugustine Beach. We’ve been enjoying it was a weekend getaway and we will move there permanently when we retire. It is paid off now. We are selling our Orlando home and that profit will find our travels. The plan is to travel the world. Some by renting a lace for a few months at a time and living as a local in places like Australia and such.

We’re also going to buy a Class B RV and travel the USA quite a lot in between our international trips. We also enjoy Cruising on Royal Caribbean as well. We’ve traveled quite a lot that way in recent years as we get ready to retire. We just did Spain and Portugal with a Trans-Atlantic crossing.

I plan to bounce my last check.

48, and not sure ever want to voluntarily retire. On second career as civilian with our nation's military and loving it. Also raise cattle on the side and plan on putting in a pecan orchard. Think the closest I'll get to retiring is letting the wife retire to become my personal assistant. As long as I take her to ballgames and on a trip to another country once or twice a year should be able to keep that going.
