Paid 2.59 at Costco yesterday.
Looking at gas prices across the US Louisiana has always been at the bottom of fhe list. For once being at the bottom is a good thing.
So. I'm not complaining. It could be much worse

Under Trump last term he stabilized fuel and kept it down.

You mean the 2-3 months of his first term where the national average was below $2/gal? Something else happened that contributed heavily to that. Something that hopefully we don’t have to go through again.

I'm happy to report I'm financially stable enough that I can fill my tank and not think about it .

Gas prices are about to crash. The U.S. oil and gas industry will crash with it. OPEC has agreed to increase production each month for the next 12 months. Trump’s request to drive the price down will be devastating for US oil and gas. (Just like last time he was president.)

People need to understand that there will be more and more inflation going forward and there’s nothing that can be done to change that. Accept that as a reality and spend time thinking of strategies to mitigate the negative effects that inflation has on you.

Still about 2.50 in Houston. Stop getting gas at the Pic N Pak in the middle of nowhere.

That Shell station at 59 & Buffalo Speedway is near mid 3’s, but that place for some reason always seems 30-40 cents per gallon higher than other stations in that area. Not sure why, but people keep filling up there, so they’re making a premium.

I don’t think most people pay attention or shop around for gas

We have a few stations in BR that are 50+cents more per gallon, but yeah, in general, I don't care about a 15 cent difference. A tank lasts me 2 weeks, so that's $7-8/month. I'd pay that to not wait in line for 5 minutes.

No, but keep in mind those are some of the lowest retail prices in the country.

It usually has to do with location. Gas stations that are in the side of the road leading into any town are always higher than those on the way out of the city to the burbs. It’s the urgency effect.
