Laredo Taco in the Stripes stations in TX. A definite hidden gem.

It appears that our Texas brethren are replacing the biscuits with tortillas. For certain things that makes sense but if I’m eating sausage patties, smoked sausage, or bacon, I want a biscuit.

Tortillas hold up a little bit better with lots of stuff on them, easier to eat with the hands. I still take a biscuit over a tortilla, but I can see the logic.

There is a gas station near where I duck hunt that sells breakfast pizza that is fire.

If you ever travel in the Midwest, not sure the entire extent of their locations, but there are a bunch in Iowa. Casey's gas stations have awesome pizza in general, but the breakfast pizza with bacon is the best pizza you'll ever eat.

I will absolutely hammer biscuits and gravy but if I’m driving ie eating from a gas station you can’t beat a tortilla especially when carne guisada is what it’s holding.

Cafe Rel would hold its own anywhere. I always wondered what happened to the owner's life that got him stuck in nowheresville.

Caseys General Store. Some of those places deliver. Really good pizza...hell, all their food is good. And they have great coffee.

QT is amazing. I moved up to SC and nobody can understand why I was awestruck at how nice, clean, and friendly the building/staff is. Their breakfast pizza is unreal. When compared to circle K, its comparing McDonald's staff/building to ChikFilA

I’m sure it’s delicoius. But yeah how does a classically trainee chef end up working in a Gas Station. How ever, a popular gas station can make a decent amount of profit so who knows.

Boudin kolache FTW

But up in Pennsylvania lots of stores have fried bologna and egg biscuits with the really good Amish bologna. Hands down the best breakfast biscuit I've had.

Cafe Rel in Franklin, NC

I've been there, it's very good. Odd situation but that whole NC/GA border area is odd. There's fantastic food, fantastic golf, beautiful hiking trails, rideable waterfalls and slutty Eastern Europeans looking to overstay their visas. With Deliverance on all sides.

A vacation destination in other words?

Absolutely. Fantastic retirement option as well, but the real estate on the NC side is high and getting higher. Rabun County, GA is pretty reasonable though.
