From Facebook

quote:

I think Baton Rouge just hit 41 homicides. Yet our police and sheriff’s department are wasting time on traffic stops for license plate lights. Yet we wonder why violent crime is on the rise. It’s about what’s a priority to the city and what is effective and what is ineffective.

41 homicides and it’s June.

You can’t traffic stop crime away. You can’t jail it away. You can’t pray it away. You can’t scream it away. You can’t protest it away.

Crime is an indicator of a lack of opportunities. High crime always takes place in areas where economic disparity exist. If we fix our inequities, STARTING with city and state tax dollars we will begin to reduce crime. When we start revitalizing north Baton Rouge and stop just talking about it, we will reduce crime.

Until then, it’s all pomp and circumstance. Just another song and dance.

The truth is a hard pill to swallow, but Baton Rouge is sick because we won’t take the medicine. The truth.

Or, these dumb motherfrickers could stop shooting each other every time they are "disrespected" or have an argument. Just b/c you are poor doesn't mean you have to have a total disregard for human life.

No proof of insurance. If he just didn't have insurance at all, he would not have gotten off with nothing. Cop pulled him over for failure to signal though and with the way he was acting, should have gotten a ticket for it.

I think subject/verb agreement is one of the biggest problems Gravy's followers face.

I'd like to see stats on how many routine traffic stops in BR lead to bigger charges (weapons, drugs, etc.). Probably quite a few.

Actually you can.

This dude is such a POS. Just trying to stay relevant and even people on his side are starting to realize he's useless.

So he's saying he wants cops to stop real crime, but he doesn't want cops in black neighborhoods?
