You're acting like he was going by the hospital and checking in on the dude everyday 
Ward found out the dude died at the same time everyone else did, when the warrant was all over BR media.
Multiple people at his work said he got a call and bounced.

so did the original arrest, He was involved in a project that I was involved in.... He vanished in all coms after the initial arrest.
