Just bc you had bb wars when you were a kid doesn't make it a great idea. I personally never had a bb war as a kid, i did regular stuff like play basketball,football,baseball,ride bikes. Sorry I wasn't a cool kid who shot my friends with bb guns. These kids are being raised by baboons if their parents think its ok to give them a bb gun and not teach them right from wrong. Going off and shooting random people with a hail of bb's is in no way ok
and yes if the kids are young enough parents should be responsible for their actions. Maybe that would teach parents a lesson on how to raise kids properly
To the guys who think its ok, I wonder what they'd feel if they were the random bystander getting mobbed by this pack of thugs

I think the big diff is air soft is plastic, bb is metal. That is usually what goes through a normal human beings mind when differentiating the two.

that and the fact there are like 2 BB guns in existence sold by the walmarts and dicks sporting goods of the world while there are HUNDREDS of airsoft weapons.
nobody buys metal bb guns anymore except maybe some old dude looking to scare squirrels or birds away.

Nah, my boys have both, just a lot more airsoft than bb/pellet guns.

That was my assumption when I let my son shoot my uncovered calf. It still hurts a lot.

Metal bb guns are absolutely still a thing. Don't know why you want to assume that the article is referring to airsoft when it never mentions that

EXACTLY. I have various powered bb guns and let my kids shoot them. They always want the most powerful one to shoot through a coke can 50 feet away.

I did all of those things, too. Occasionally, we'd have a BB gun war. It was the '70's. You ever shoot bottle rockets at each other?

do you even upgrade? airsoft guns are not only more accurate and with a $30 mod you can crank the FPS to over 1000, but with each pull of the trigger HUNDREDS of pellets will be on target instead of pew pew pew metal bb gun.

Pretty sure no one thinks its ok. People are just pointing out that they've been shot before with a bb gun, and it's not going to kill you. Doesnt' mean these little idiots shouldn't get their arse handed to them.

Let me be clear. We never shot a single BB at anyone who was not a part of our group. The handful of times that we played, it was 4-6 kids. We'd divide into teams, and one team would get a five minute head start into the woods. Worst anyone ever got hurt was when I got shot right below the ear by someone on my own team. Our parents never even knew that we did it.
