I'm sure the voters will eat it up, notwithstanding that as a United States Senator, he has no direct involvement with state and local issues.

He is currently a State Senator who is running for a US Senate position.

This is a placeholder.

I will hold my judgement until Twitter determines how I should feel.

Perhaps I'm incorrect-is he currently a State Senator or no?
I have no problem admitting I'm wrong if that's the case . Thanks.

Edit: I just looked again and indeed I stand corrected. John Kennedy is a sitting U.S. Senator. My bad. Thanks

Yep.

That's why you got Eddie Rispone as the Republican candidate in the runoff vs JBE. A guy whose ad campaign focused on the fact that he had MAGA bumper sticker on his truck.

And a Republican representative who never graduated college (not by choice. Flunked out multiple times) representing one of the most affluent districts in the state.

But the voters who support them ridicule all voters of candidates running against their guy and label them "low-information" voters.

And also manage to bitch about how the system is rigged because the elections are held on Saturdays when they are "too busy" to go vote, allowing the opposition to get their supporters to the polls to vote (usually by dangling free Popeyes in front of them.)

Yet they never seem to complain about elections being held during the work week.

We only have 2 US senators. In fact every state only has 2. Try to read a book.

100%, but he’s the best senator we’ve elected in a long time. His spot on the Judiciary committee is invaluable as well.

Love that man an am proud of his stand against everything woke. We should stand behind people who actually go to Washington to fight what is truly wrong and immoral. There are “good guys” in this fight, and he’s one of ‘em. He’s one of the few politicians on Capital Hill who hasn’t been corrupted by the commie manifesto or become drunk on power. We better stand behind people like that.
