You can purchase the miniature lapel pin versions of your Airborne wings.

You earned them, IMHO it is never bad taste to wear them(miniature version) on a suit. I wear my wings/Ranger tab whenever I get the chance

Don't see why that would be a bad idea since you earned them and it's in respect of him.

My former Company Commander was killed yesterday. We were in an Airborne unit. Would it be bad taste to wear my jump wings on my suit to show respect for him?

You are honoring him. What would he say? I'm guessing that it probably would have brought a smile to his face to see them...

Will get downvoted, but you are making it about you and not him.

You show your respect by showing up in a proper attire. You do not bring attention to yourself. Active duty in uniforms, civilians in suits or dresses.

Miniature jump wings on your lapel is the correct answer and totally appropriate.

I personally wear a US Army Retired pin.

In a regular meeting or outing, I would possibly agree. Your former military status is not relevant at a funeral for someone else. Humility is lost on many in today's society.

It would be cool if you can get a spare set to leave it on the casket after removing them? Just a thought

If any of Bert Case's family shows up at the service, please tell them you'll kick their arse.
