Weve been overun. Someone call everything they got on our location. Ive exhausted vinegar traps working on an idea with a shop vac and bait around the hose and just leave it running.

Time flies like an arrow.

Fruit flies like a banana.

Hope that helps.

- If you have a kitchen garbage can with a liner, pull out the liner and make sure you don’t have something underneath it attracting them.

- Make sure you clean your sinks really good. Pour some really hot soapy water down them.

- If you have a dishwasher, make sure your trap in the bottom of it is clean.

Do you have the source of where they’re coming from? Or general area?

Buy a couple of Katchy Fly Fans. They have a blue light and a fan that traps them on a sticky pad. Works great but you really need more that one for around the house.

Drink 2/3 bottle of beer and throw some dish soap in there, then make a cone out of a paper and put it in The mouth of the bottle, you’ll catch em all and then some.

Had a problem with them earlier this year. They need a source of water. They were in my kitchen, and my drains were probably my issue. Tried several treatments, including traps and nothing worked.

I finally started pouring boiling water in each drain 2 to 3 times a day. And kept a plate over each drain the rest of the day. The boiling water would kill anything growing in it, and the plate kept any existing flies from going down and laying new eggs. Within two weeks, my problem was gone.

Don’t know if that work or coincidence but I would do that again if I ever have that problem again

They breed in your pipes and garbage disposal. You have to pour bleach or acid down and then then block them off and I mean every fricking day without fail for fricking weeks.

Get those damn plug in bug catchers too and pray a lot.

Get a Zevo or two. They work really well. I’m going to give you a drain treatment slightly different than those mentioned already, but it worked for me:

1/2 cup baking soda - pour down kitchen drain. Use something thin that won’t break to circulate the baking soda around until it is all down the drain. I used a butter knife.

1 cup white vinegar - pour it down the same drain as the baking soda. You will hear the fizzing as the two react.

Leave them alone to work for fifteen minutes, minimum.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Pour the boiling water down the treated drain to clean the remnants of the baking soda and vinegar.

Last time i had them was when I kept the recycling in a bin in the garage right by the door leading to the kitchen. I moved the recycling to the opposite side of the garage, and the typical vinegar and sink treatments killed the ones already inside and they never came back in.

I also reccommend Zevo traps….a single trap will catch every fly in your house.

Best place to get them is Lowes or Walmart. Don’t bother buying any refills, it takes years for them to get full.
