I agree. It’s a lot more player friendly than all the Biloxi casinos in my limited experiences

One time at Harrah's, in New Orleans, I was waiting for someone to come out the bathroom and while I was waiting, I put a $20 in a slot machine. One the send spin, I hit $100 and I cashed out. There was this old lady next to me and she said something like "are you crazy? you just hit big, that machine is warming up". I told her that she was welcome to play on it.. And she switched from the machine she was at to the one I hit on... But I thought it was funny she thought I was crazy for cashing out $119 with only $20 invested
I only play slots, and machines do get hot. Though I amost always play til my money is gone - all or nothing. I go in knowing I’ll play $150 and either come home rich or broke. I generally NEVER leave a hot machine. Except for one time. We went with some friends to see a band. I left them for a few minutes to play a machine and hit $300 just a few pulls in. Normally I would have stayed, but I left just so I could appear back at the table quickly and have my wife say “Lost it all already?” and then throw $300 on the table. 5 minutes later I walk by the machine on the way to the restroom and a lady hit $5,000.

Slot machines are by far the worst way to play for the customer. The house has a 10+% advantage over most table games. Your best bet is craps, followed by blackjack played correctly (properly utilizing double downs, splits, etc.)
Bonus story, casinos are ruthless with their money. Before I joined another three letter agency, I was a Border Patrol agent for just over 10 years. For several of those years I was a plain clothes investigator and did all sorts of weird enforcement work and was often on call from other agencies that would encounter illegal aliens.
It's a little known fact that to claim a large jackpot, you must be a valid US resident. On numerous occasions, some guy would hit a $10,000 slot machine jackpot. They would ask him to produce some ID, but he couldn't produce anything from the US. Since most casinos are on tribal land, they have their own police force. They would have a tribal cop call me and I would come down to the casino, often at 2 or 3 in the morning.
As I would usually be asleep at the time of the call out and the casino was some 30 miles from my house, it took me almost an hour to get there. No matter to the casino. They would take the illegal alien and his family back into some private room and offer them drinks and snacks. As time dragged on and they start asking where their money is, the casino staff would be like, "We're just finishing up the paperwork now and you'll be taken care of in just a few more minutes. And again, congratulations!"
When I finally showed up, I would walk into the room to smiling happy faces. $10,000 or $20,000 is a great deal of money but to the average Mexican picking fruit for $8 an hour, it's a shite ton of cash.
At first they would assume I worked for the casino. But after I identified myself as a Border Patrol agent and started interviewing them, it started sinking in. The looks on their faces as they are being told that a) they are no longer getting their $20,000 and b) instead their going straight to jail then get deported was like...damn. I get it, they're illegal and I'm going to do my job but that's a kick in the teeth right there. Talk about going from sky high to rock bottom in a split second.
So yeah, if the casino can possibly avoid paying out a jackpot for any loophole whatsoever, they will.

So, a foreigner on vacation in Las Vegas can't win a large jackpot?

Yes, a foreigner could win a jackpot if they were legally here. You must have a valid visa and immigration paperwork in order.

Free drinks in Casinos will be a thing of the past soon. Vegas is switching to a tech based system where a computer judges if you are worthy of free drinks before you can get one comped. So basically you need to spend a money before you get one. Some people have found its around $40 gambling for a comp drink at the places that have already gone to this system.
It’s app and computer based so you can order a drink and have it delivered easier than having to flag down waitresses. Also reduces the chances for friendly waitresses and bartenders to hook you up too.
Addicts shouldn’t see a difference, regular people who snag free drinks with little gambling will be bummed.

You ever wonder what the casino boss looks like when people like this walk through the front door?

Everything you just typed is bullshite. Five pages and only one person knows what they’re talking about.

We paid out foreign nationals all the time. They showed some form of ID, cage took taxes off the top, they signed a form so they could claim it in their home country. And off they went.

Yeah, ok. Guess all those years of actually doing exactly that was just all a hallucination.
Edit to add:
Arizona Woman Deported After Winning $1200 Jackpot
Workers Call Border Patrol At Local Casinos At Three Locations
And it happens all the time but never makes the media. I know, because I arrested at least a dozen myself.

Jackpots are handed out daily to non US citizens. It’s not a little known fact that you can’t claim a jackpot unless you’re a US citizen. It’s bullshite and not a fact at all. And, you’re given 90 days to produce valid ID, regardless of country of origin. So while it is true that TGC employs it’s own version of a police force(kind of)no one was calling you to deport some hombre because they couldn’t produce valid ID right away. How’d they get to the gaming floor in the first place? You need TWO forms of ID to claim your jackpot. Not one.

If you win really big, they will comp you a casino limo the next time you come, if you come back quickly.
I always heard the slots on the ends where people walked by all the time, paid out more than the internal machines.
There are dealers who deal only the high dollar tables.
I have seen a player playing blackjack (by himself - no one else at the table) with a floor supervisor standing about twenty feet sort of at parade rest watching every deal and play he made. When he left, they did.
John Daly tips really well after losing on the blackjack tables.
If you look anything like you are less than 21, they will card you several times while you are there. Don't know why once at the door is not enough.
They will shut down a slot machine in a NY minute (for paying out too frequently/too much?).
