The #1 rule when dating an Asian woman is that you never EVER bring her back to live in your home country .. she immediately goes from being dime-a dozen in her home country to being ‘exotic’ and desireable , and she WILL leave your arse .
The advice to go to the Philippines is dead-on.. it’s literally the best place for dating on planet Earth (if you stay out of the tourist hubs like Manila, BGC, Cebu, Siargio, etc).. better even than Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand et al…. And the older and whiter you are, the better .. i havent read the whole thread, only the last page- so im not sure how old the OP is, but if he’s been married for over 35 years, then odds are he can probably afford to retire early now in the PI.. im not even 50 and already semi-retired in Asia since it’s so gotdam cheap to live here .

I knew a really filthy old guy who basically went through that routine. He brought one back, it didn't last, so he decided to just go there for his uh companionship.

Truth be told, there are weird old guys here who are total slobs and give us all a bad name .. i aspire to be one of them one day !
J/k, im still in my 40s and considered on the ‘younger’ side here.. and i put a little bit of effort into taking care of myself, which goes a very very long way in SE Asia .

Be there for your friend but understand you have no idea what was going on behind their closed doors, and he is not going to be truthful to you about certain things would make you think less of him.

Same exact thing happened to my brother that is 2 years younger than me
He built a multi million dollar industrial roofing company and sells multi million dollar contracts to do Dura Last brand roofing on schools and shopping centers
Built her a 3.5M dollar dream home on Lake Martin in 2018
They have 3 grown adult kids and during Covid he suspected something was up with her so he bugged the house to listen to her calls and put a tracking device on her car
She cheated with a straight up loser and he and my nephew actually caught her red handed
He has been happily remarried since May 2023 and his wife now is an actual partner in every way possible and stays off Facebook unlike his ex
Seems like women in their 40’s get flat out delusional and start losing it!
