Umm no thanks. I've had food poisoning but it was not from an undercooked steak which I've done for 20 years.

Truth. I can almost guarantee overwhelming majority of people that get food poisoning from a steak meal, got it from whatever sauce came with it.

The overwhelming majority of food poisoning cases come from fruits and vegetables, especially lettuce, rice and pasta, and cross contamination. You're one of the most unlucky SOBs to ever live if you get food poisoning from ruminant cuts of meat.

Cysticercosis is the leading cause of seizure outside the US (or at least it was when I was in school 15 years ago). Don’t eat pork abroad. Just not worth it in my opinion.
