My point is that I hate this shite and just cannot wait for things to ever get back to normal.
You live in a blue urban city. It will never get back to normal for you. Your fellow citizens won't let it.

I get there are reasons people need to but will never understand people living in cities by choice. We've been wide open for a while in rural NW Georgia.

Man, if you’d have just shoved some sort
Of face cover in your pocket, you coulda just
Put it on and been outa there. Woulda been easier, no?
I hate a mask and don’t wear them. But I have one handy for this kind is situation.

Wtf did you expect being somewhere like Atlanta
Gas stations don’t care at all about masks around here. A lot of the employees don’t even wear them

(1) I think the mask policies are way less effective than people apparently believe and are largely a way to signal “hey I care” than the are a way for people to do anything about COVID, so I understand your frustrations
However, that being said
(2) how could you not be prepared with a mask in this day and age? Not saying it’s right, but a lot of businesses are asking for it and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that this might come up

because I went on a walk and did not expect to stop by the store. It didn't even cross my mind to take a mask while walking my dog.

Never forget your face tampon at home.
I picked up a gator from Dicks sporting goods last year with all the air restriction of breathing through an old see through t-shirt. It does absolutely nothing whatsoever, but it makes people “Feel Good” like we are all doing our part. Big Hugs and Hearts

Literally a year into this and people are still surprised you need to put a mask on for the 5 minutes indoors.
Congrats for not wearing a mask, I'm sure the clerk gets the same story multiple times a day.

Why wouldn't you wear a mask while walking your dog?
Dr. Jill Biden specifically said you should wear a mask even walking your dog outside.
You should listen to her. She's a doctor.

You say you can't wait to get back to normal, yet look at all the reprogrammed nerds in here defending an idiot convenience store clerk who let you stand in the store for 10 minutes without a mask and THEN told you to leave. You think assholes in this country will give up that feel good virute signaling after flexing it for over a year now?

Anybody that is a mask NAZI at this point is simply an idiot and an a-hole.
Masks have made no impact whatsoever except to possibly spread contamination. Places where masks were not mandated actually fared better than those where they were mandated.

Anyways, after waiting a good 10+ minutes in line
You waited 10+ minutes in a line at a gas station for water and you’re calling other people idiots?

I started to drive Uber last week... the first few nights were cool, no problems
then i pick up a younger female from the airport and drop her off near the quarter. She (it was probably her) reported me to the app for not wearing a mask. Snitch bitch. You could have told me.
unless it was the dude whom i delivered food to in the quarter who came outside with a mask on who reported me when i handed him food for a grand total of 10 seconds.
i don't get how Uber can enforce a mask mandate on a driver in his own personal vehicle and call me an "independent contractor". At the very least, give us an option to pick up people who are ok with not masking, because i wouldn't snitch on anybody for it

The amount of money it would take for me to live in a rural area would be astronomical. I can’t understand how someone would voluntarily live in one.
To each his own.

Sad but true. Not to mention trying to shame OP for not taking a mask with him to go do an outdoors activity.

Dude just carry a mask.
I don’t like it either. But don’t blame others for your forgetfulness.
