Trashy. No reason for a damn 14 year old to be drinking, should be focused on lifting and athletics

It actually started at my kids school in 8th grade on a small scale, but it seems to be every weekend in 9th grade.

Are we going back to like a medieval thing where kids just drink beer at lunchtime?

Me and my peers turned out fine. It’s a non issue as long as they’re not driving

Well, good thing they're all too young to drive.

And I'm glad y'all turned out fine. I still think it's trashy.

Not worth it, idiotic move by the parents. Lots of people getting jail time for this when something happens.

As an old fella now I want to say it should not be allowed. But, they are going to do it anyway, it may be better to be supervised. I know some parents were taking keys and making kids stay overnight. Not sure if this was freshman or sophomore year?

Hell, freshman year me and my boys went to Mardi Gras and spring break by ourselves. Kids don’t have that in them these days. This was in the middle eighties. Things were different.

my house I isn’t the place. I like my kids friends but I like everything I’ve ever worked for more.

Trashy and illegal. I’d have a serious issue with my sons attending a party with drinks served with a parents consent.

If we did away with the drinking age and introduced responsible drinking to kids in high school we would have less binge drinking and blacking out in college.

All that said, parent sponsored/supervised drinking parties may be safer if the parents actually take the keys away, but it’s exceptionally risky for the parents.

this is for like a handful of HS seniors who are about to graduate and go to college... not kids who were in middle school a couple months ago

trashy.

Also high school is not the time you want to peak socially.
