Not expected to get above freezing here in Lafayette next Tuesday, with rain coming the day before. Can’t wait for another day of school closures. Teachers gonna have a nice 4 day weekend with MLK on Monday. Can’t do anything but laugh at this point.

Accuweather shows a low of 18 right now in BR for Monday and 20 for Tuesday. I'll be surprised if it gets that cold.

This Board has an unhealthy infactuation with bitching about teachers. Clearly half this board are HS kids.

The southeast is indeed looking at the potential for a punch of arctic air next week. Too early to be specific, but it could end up somewhere along the lines of what we saw in December 2022. There also may be some snow/ice issues for parts of the southeast, but again, too early to be specific.

As always poster, you are invited to drive the backwood school routes at 5am to get these kids safely to school

You are starting a thread bitching about school closures that haven't been announced for possible weather a week away that most people don't even know about.

I'd think most people are laughing at this thread.

And teachers are paid for nine months a year spread out over 12 months. How about you stfu about things you clearly don't understand? Maybe if teachers didn't have to deal with degenerates from crack homes and absentee parents all the time with no ability to actually discipline them they wouldn't complain.

Don’t forget countless hours of lesson planning, grading assignments, RTI nonsense, endless meetings either after school, on weekends, and holiday time.

don't become a fricking teacher then dumb arse. I answered why teachers get hated on. And talk about being a disingenuous POS you can be paid over 9 mos if you choose.

A low of 19 and high of 38 is pushing it. Probably better wrap the pipes.

I planned on making a thread at lunch with proper graphics. There is potential for winter precip now as well.

Do you object, or would you like to edit your post?
