Best I can tell it is for tourism.
Although I guess the Lee statue has brought a half dozen tourist protesters to town the last couple weeks.
He freed more countries than Lee too, at least he was on a winning side.

Alario assigned this bill to a Democratic controlled committee & its chairman has fought, successfully from her point of view, anything & everything to do with keeping the monuments in place. This bill will die just like all the others she's killed. Alario's intent. As for Mitch, he came up with this idea before Hillary lost & it was widely known in N.O. that he was pushing for a plum job in D.C. in her administration. That's why he "came up" with this idea.

Have you seen the protests? Ain't no black people protesting them. It is rich spoiled white kids.
They are protesting because they believe the black community is helpless. I can't believe the whole of the black community hasn't stepped up to say "Take em down Nola" is taking valuable Facetime fighting for a cause that won't advance the fight.

Same Stewart who is cousins with Landrieu family. Is that better? This has major implications for Landrieu. The Morrison family is backing Frank now too.
