06z HWRF seems to be doing the best this morning. It does show the elongated circulation trying to consolidate on the NW end.
So is this good or bad for terrebonne parish?

Has St George done any storm prep or had a press conference yet?

i think they remodeled with that in mind though. i mean it sucks regardless, but the new place seems like it's sort of designed to be able to take water and then be back in business with minimum repair work.

Closed for good a while ago, no need to feel bad for them.
I was just there yesterday drinking an afternoon beer. They've been re-opened for quite some time and much improved, expanded patio, live music, etc.

What’s this boards thoughts on Chad Hayward? A lot of Facebook moms keep sharing his posts. Is he legit or just another Facebook meteorologist

lol it's so weird. i went there a few weeks ago to meet a friend after work and it was like walking into a meat market. someone told me it's always like that on friday afternoons. fifty year old women just openly grabbing my arse as i walked by and shite. it was something.

Y'all don't fuss at me and tell me to read the thread (i have been in the hospital the past few days with my little one and watching the weather has been the last thing on my mind). Is this thing gonna be serious and being in BR do we really need to worry for anything super dangerous? I assume it will be windy and we lose electricity.

if you think about it, they narrowed it down from 51 states to 4. Fairly impressive.

The storm that shall not be named followed that center line. They missed big on intensity

GOHSEP email briefing this morning was a cut and paste of the NHC update. Thanks Jeff.

That Katrina cone would not have made me expect the surge of water that moved UP the Mississippi. Someone I know was at the Army Corps of Engineers building inside the Batture in NOLA and they were very worried that the levee there would be overtopped, not by rain but by storm surge.
Surges the overtopped the Plaquemine levees caused a lot of deaths.
Storm surge has scared me ever since, and that's not going to get better.
