The 12z models might not run with the new data
Prolly have to wait for 18z
New cone might account for it though extrapolating with center fix change

Wonder how much the models change with an established center.
Its more the different launching point than anything. Im not expecting anything dramatic, fwiw.

Six hours difference when we're on standard time.

Does anyone know if it will continue to track at 5mph, or are they expecting it to speed up on its movement. I'm worried more about it staying in this area for awhile and increasing the flooding risk. I don't want to go through 2016 again.

It will speed up as it interacts with the trough
Will probably be moving 15 mph or so at landfall

It should speed up fairly quickly upon landfall. If I’m not mistaken the trough coming down should shoot it out the area.

This thing was hitting west of Houston yesterday, if I were this wrong at my job I'd be fired
