pretty fricking good considering how well they tracked this one

they missed in their 48 hr cone. they were constantly reluctant to adjust enough when every other model within the last 24 hrs was completely suggestive of a full 50-60 mile eastward shift that they barely catered to. Whatever. i'm the troll... i guess i'll go turn off my generator in my kids bedroom now, i think the window unit has cooled down the room enough.

You should’ve paid attention to the catfish model. Nailed the path as usual.

Chad you should never run your generator inside of a bedroom that is being occupied by people. Very dangerous.

The generator was probably outside with the exhaust pointing in the house.

It was OUTSIDE of the house though.

I was one of the ones that got unlucky yesterday and have been out of power almost 24 hours now. Got 3 x 5 gallon tanks. This generator be thirsty.

I wonder what Chad thinks it means when they say there is a 50% chance of rain.

what are you powering?

why aren't you running an inverter just big enough to run your essentials?

Well after this last 5 gallons is gone I’m certain that will happen.

Anybody know the deal with Prairieville area still being completely out of power? Some of the towns that got hit worse are already getting power back

I’m running a 7500 and running the whole house except for a/c and dryer. Have 2 window units and a ptac unit and it’s comfortable. Son is playing ps5

I bought more than 10 gallons of gas tho

Lines drawn on a fake map wouldn't change what you are doing right now. Are you saying if the black line was running over your house you would have evacuated, but because it didn't you stayed and now have to deal with the repercussions?

If you weren't planning on evacuating either way, then all of this is just misplaced anger about your situation

From all the contacts I have in Houma, Patterson and Franklin they all say that physical damage was not too bad, just a lot of power outages. Most believe power will be repaired in a few days because there wasnt as much pole damage as they had from Ida. They said most is power lines down or limbs on a line which is easier to repair.

Hopefully this is true.

I dont believe we (Here to Serve) will be responding if power will be restored that quickly. By the time we got food delivered and traveled there yall would be sitting in the AC. I hope. If my information is wrong or there is a place that would need us we can still come. It takes us 2-3 days to get the food delivered to us and travel so it might be Monday before we start serving.

We can do 1200 meals a day, free of charge.

Thanks to everyone who posted or emailed me about making potential contacts for different areas. I really appreciate it.

Also thanks to our resident weather guys for keeping us informed.

Front Prairieville? Back Prairieville? Downtown Prairieville?

The part of Prairieville people claim is Prairieville so they sound better, but really it is Gonzales?

ps5 on a non inverter generator doesn't sound too smart. anyways. i have a 4500 inverter. i know its big enough for at least 1 window unit, fridge and separate freezer plus lights etc. but i do the extension cord routine.

1 model ( the graf) had the eastward shift until hrrr did on its 12z run yesterday afternoon - a couple hurricane models went east on 12z run also but they went too far east - do you want them to widen the cone from now on?

How much do you follow the Hi-res models on a daily/weekly basis? apparently not at all because they are flat out wrong all the time
