In the same boat. We just need it hold another 2 hours hopefully.

How do we know how much it's weakening? Haven't heard it mentioned for a bit.
Why don’t you use the numerous sources available to you that can give you these things in real time any time you want instead of asking people in here to tell you every 2 minutes?

Unreal how many times the power has flickered here in Gonzales over the past few hours. Cannot believe it's holding on. Constant wind is very strong now and hear a rumble.

Francine is kind of doing what Laura did. Didn’t start off nearly as strong obviously but once Laura became a halfricane the strongest remnant band of the eye wall shifted off the eastern side of the horizontal northern edge of the storm and went through Choudrant (shout out) for example. You can see that happening here. The strongest band is offset NE of the actual center.

no debris, but there's definitely rotation

Power out on ormond blvd in Destrehan. Been getting pummeled the last 45 mins but should be ending soon based on the radar.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...85 MPH...140 KM/H
Pretty attention getting I bet for those in it and have several times. I think I've been in winds between 50-60 once, for maybe 10 minutes. Hated it.

Finally starting to get a little quieter in Houma. Think we may finally be inside the eye. I'm sure it won't last long.

On radar looks like this thing is really falling apart at a fast rate.
It stalled and pulverized Thibodaux. Radar was deep dark red color. Then it shifted East instead of North and stayed on Thibodaux. Wore them out. Now 20 mins later and that same band that was dark red is now mostly yellow.

Lost power at the house and got activated all within 15 minutes.
Posted on 9/11/24 at 7:30 pm to tonydtigr
if it keeps shoving east like it has, vs. going north, we'll be fine in Dutchtown...
