What's in the southern part of the eye? The radar showing nothing rain wise us real? Earlier Katz was saying because the radar couldn't really shoot through all of the clutter of the northern eye that the empty southern portion was artifact.

This thing has slowed down to a crawl. I’m getting fricked. Might have water in my truck and I pulled it up to high ground.

Just saw a group of about 15 doves drifting overhead in the probably 60 mph gusts.
Hummingbirds are trying to get to my feeders. Feeders are on the south side of the house. Wind at the NE. They venture too far and get swept but come back.

Heads up west bank and St Charles. Looks like the band that just swept across Lafourche on eastern side of eye is heading your way.

Damn, he really is a dumbass.
That isn't an artifact. The Southern eyewall was eroded by shear quite a while ago. There isn't much to it.

I tell ya what, the "open" area of the eye on radar is NOT the eye in the prototypical sense. Still plenty of wind and gusts here in Houma. And we are square in the "clear" area, south the the "northern eyewall" band. This shite is just as windy as that red/yellow band on radar. Just not raining as much.

Free, Hurricane Special. He gave a bumb shelter as a trade off.
