Getting gusty now in Metairie off Clearview. No flickering of power yet, but radar makes it seem like 2hrs at least to go of this. Will see if can hold on.

BR usually has some pretty decent talent on the news and weather. LSU keeps them stocked with broadcasting grads I guess.

Since the 4 pm update, have they give coordinates? If so, how has the movement been. Haven’t been able to follow the last couple hours.

My parents lost the ridge cap and are losing shinglws in Houma. That roof made it through Ida.

Probably has to do with the direction of the wind. Houma saw almost exclusively strong E, NE, and N winds from Ida. This is all SW to S for them

Everything I see (ir, swir, etc.) look like it is more east than they predicted. And it appears bad but in a rapidly decreasing area. If you are getting hit it won't help. But it appears to me the number of people that will see hurricane speed gust is dropping.

Eye seems like it’s going to Lutcher after it finishes with Thibodaux. Then towards Hammond.

Pretty much every asos/awos site in south LA is out. Wish we could make some government weather stations that didn't go out in tropical storm force winds.
