I’m in south Tangi. I said earlier in this thread that Ida gave me PTSD. Hoping for the best…stay safe down there.

Why is the GRAF so different than the euro model?

Because the euro model is the best. They spent a shite ton of money on it for some reason. We get hit by hurricanes but people in europe give us the best model.

Does anyone know how to link the College of Dupage NEXRAD radar images on this forum?

Here is the link to the image. The radar graphics are one of the clearest out there. Thanks in advance.

The wafb “future” radar shows the majority of the bad bad stuff drifting over Nola too and the BR triparish getting off pretty good.

This has been a really bad look for the Fox 8 meteorological team.

I quit watching them... The wish casting and the end of times forecasting is getting old especially when people are nervous and looking for answers...

I can’t stand Justin Michaels on The Weather Channel. His exaggerated TV voice gets on my nerves. Someone in New Orleans go tell him he sucks for me.

You can see the wind data… lags a bit just like the buoy’s, spars, platforms. Then you can look at a graph of the wind data. It’s only good for wind though. Wave heights and pressure aren’t shown. Below all that is the forecast numbers based off the models.

I find it easier than the NDBC site. And most of their shite doesn’t work anyhow… red squares. Just seems easier for me.
That is quite literally forecast model winds. It even says so in the layer legend....it's showing a blend of all models.

The yellow squares in the NDBC map are the only active eal-time weather stations in the gulf. Period. The red stations are offline. Some stations show wind, some show waves, some show both, but those are the only active sites. Anything else you see is a forecast model.

If you're on mobile, click and long hold on the map. It will pop up a window that says "share image and share gif". It will be a download that you'll have to post here.

On a computer it is probably right click.
