It’s going a decent amount east of BR

Depends on if NHC or GRAF wins

It's also not a Cat 3/4/5

Francine just wants to give Brian Kelly a community motivational tool.

I think it’s supposed speed up to 15-16 mph once it turns more north in a couple hours.

Fox 8 was the best in NOLA when I left a couple years ago.

Surprised to see them dick-riding one model, especially at this point when the path is "follow the direction its currently going to land"

They seem to have gone downhill since Lil' Bob Breck retired.

The HRRR and most the East models initialize the storm right now as if it’s in the 960’s mb when actually its high 970’s mb. That’s why Fox 8 is going to be wrong. They are using a model that doesn’t have a grasp on the storm right now.

Mandeville max gust wind prediction just dropped from 52mph to 44. Not a big deal but always like things going in right direction

don't even look at models right now, just follow radar/satellite. It's close enough

I just read thats it's transitioning to a stronger western side because of the trough. Is that true? We’ll be on the west side of the eye, which doesn’t make me feel as comfortable as I did earlier.

I thought Byron Allen's media company Allen Media Group owned The Weather Channel?

It's actually a mess now that I look at it - Allen Media Group owns TWC. weather.com is owned and operated by The Weather Company, which was a subsidiary of IBM, and IBM/The Weather Company created the GRAF model. The Weather Company was sold to Francisco Partners, a private equity firm, as of February 2024.

Looking at radar can be trippy. It had me convinced it be moving to Kenner brah to wash out the illegals.
