just read thats it's transitioning to a stronger western side because of the trough. Is that true? We’ll be on the west side of the eye, which doesn’t make me feel as comfortable as I did earlier.

I thought Rds said this from the beginning

Never underestimate the amount of people who want to be able to say their photos or social media posts were on TV or a TV station's social media channels. The world in which we live today.

During the 2016 flood our neighbor's sister lifted a picture my wife took of the kids playing in the street from her facebook and sent it to the news. I honestly don't understand what people get out doing shite like that.

Is this supppsed to pick up speed?

Looks like Morgan City is about 20 mikes inland. If at 11 am it’s 140 miles from Morgan city that’s 120 miles from coast. At 13 mph that’s about 9 hrs out so 8 pm.

Why does everyone keep saying early afternoon landfall?

The center is currently 85 miles from the mouth of the Atchafalaya River. 6pm landfall still sounds about right.

quite honestly the TV arguments are dumb to begin with.

Would you rather people be more prepared or underprepared?

ETA: and then remember that people are waaaaay dumber than you think they are

You're going to get way more rain on the east side. The strongest winds will be on the north and west side of the eye wall.

I’d rather they lie out all the facts, prepare, but don’t overreact.

Walking distance to Whataburger? Assuming you don’t get seppuku’d by a street grifter, thats living.

I’ve watched this guy before for tornado likes that come through. He has his steam going. Has a couple of storm chasers who he talks too through the day and has a bunch of cams up. Might be worth a watch if some of yall are looking for something to watch that isn’t fear porn.

I'd rather that too, but the general population isn't good at reacting to just facts and normal reactions
