Matt Williams on WAFB is so dramatic and annoying. His cohost girl isn’t much better.
Dr. Steve is the GOAT though.

Yeah, I made Morgan City the eastern bound when it was PTC 4.. crossing my fingers on that one still
I told my dad between Intracoastal City and Morgan City on Monday morning so things haven't been too bad in Predictionville, USA
Morgan City is the default projected landing spot for EVERY hurricane likely to make landfall in Louisiana. The only mystery is if it will miss it by a few miles or make a direct hit. Anytime I hear there is a hurricane coming towards Louisiana I just assume it will hit Morgan City and work my way out from there.

The Boat and Duke,
How's this thing looking as far as movement once it hits land? Still expecting this thing to go up towards Baton Rouge and then Jackson? Is it gonna move fast, slow down, etc?
TIA

Yeah they are pretty much saying 5”-10” of rain depending on the wobble They said possibly 5” of rain in 1 hour a little earlier, which just seems out of hand Considering im in Lakeview, I’m hoping this is them just trying to oversell it

As resident of Lake Charles, going to have to disagree with you on this one.

Plenty of lightning in that SW quadrant right now. Also, decent winds with that band, but no way to know how high up the anemometers are for the few stations out that way.

it will make a northward turn as it approaches the MS border. as for speed, from landfall to Jackson will take about 12 hours.

Glad I am not the only one thinking this. I just change the channel when they go from the weather back to the desk.

... remember the days of Nash Robert's?
He was genius
He could put his wet finger into the wind a tell you what any storm was going to do
Just with handrawn maps and a magic marker
