I bet this thing never makes it to a hurricane. And if it does probably a generous wind estimate

Boat, thanks for your update. Very clear and understandable. It helps when you break it down and explain it the way you do, and include the maps with it.

Looking at Missions 7 and 8 on tidbits, it appears the area of stronger winds is expanding northward inside the core. Assuming this means the storm is getting its act together?

The past couple days the knowledgeable people on here said a stronger storm would track more east and a weaker storm would track more west.
To move west would be to die out. So it takes the path of least resistance.
This is how I'm making sense of it. Could be wrong.
But just look how dry the low level air is in TX right now:

Depends on your situation honestly
Who is in your house with you?
Trees around house?
Ever had flooding issues there?
There’s a whole lot to consider when trying to decide to leave or not. We would need some more info from you

If you’re not on the coast in a surge area then it depends on your specific situation. Personally I would stay home and see what happens because you can always leave and go somewhere after the storm. Maybe you’ll get lucky and keep power. But that doesn’t apply to people with medical conditions or other factors. Or if you’re in a mobile home or have precarious trees near your house then I’d think about staying somewhere else.
