I'm not a Sam's Club member, do you build up points and get discounts on gas like Kroger? Or is it like Costco where the price is set but it's a little lower than most gas stations?

People have no real concept of the value of their personal time. They think that "saving money" is so important that they're completely irrational about it. A large part of the calculation of "saving money" means putting the value of your personal time at $0.00, too, which is insane.
Not counting your personal time. What does an average person make an hour? No less than $10.00? Google says average US rate is $16.36 in 2020. I drive my vehicle a lot. Maybe 2 tanks a week but mostly only one. Taking your time and cost into consideration it makes no sense to wait in line. Even if it’s a .50 cent difference. 20 gallon tank is $10 dollars more plus your time of 10 minutes ($3). $13 dollars over 7 days is $1.85 a day. I throw that much I. My change jar every day.

Gas prices are up worldwide. Biden must be a real badass to have that kind of control over the global petrol markets. OPEC shivers with fear when Uncle Joe calls them and tells them to keep the spigots closed.
You will absolutely go to the wall for anything leftist, won’t you?

If Putin doesn't choose to invade Ukraine, are gas prices higher or lower?
Or possibly if President Potato Head doesn't cut off domestic oil and gas, would the price be higher or lower...?

I saw something similar at the Same in Metairie just the other day.
Figure it takes the average person three minutes to fill up their tank. Two cars can go at a time... 20 cars... so 30 min to go through the line.
Gas was 15 cents cheaper than the place across the street, with no line.
My car has a 16 gal tank. If it was almost empty, and I put 15 gal in it... I would be saving $0.15 x 15 gal = $2.25 in exchange for my 30 min wait.
People are stupid.

You should probably blame Putin, since he is literally the only reason for the sharp increase due to his insanity.
Putin is the one that reversed the bad orange man's policies on day one. Blame Vlad.

If Trump was president would gas prices be higher or lower?

Filled up this AM at $4.07 - no line - there is no way in hell I'm waiting in line for over an hour to save $2

Joe called to beg them to release more, OPEC didn’t even answer the phone but answered for Putin. What does that tell you about Joe?

I saved $25 on diesel by driving one exit further yesterday. 4.99 vs 5.65 and the stations were less than 2 miles apart.

This is every day at Sams. It's why I did not renew my subscription. Impossible to get gas and I'd rather pay the extra 10-15 cents and not wait for an hour

Don't forget to add: "For the sharp increase"
11/02/20: $2.11/gal
02/07/22: $3.44/gal
05/16/22: $4.49/gal
55% of the increase in fuel prices since the election occurred before Russia invaded Ukraine. Between 11/2020 and 2/2022 there was only one month where gas prices ended lower than the previous month. For you to be "right" you'd have to believe that that trend would have reversed itself in the absence of the invasion.

3.96 a gallon
That's about $1.00/gallon cheaper than my local station. So I might actually wait in line for that.

I know...there are even record gas prices in Europe because of this guy.

Saw something similar at my Sams the other day. Drove to the BP half a mile away. It was the same price, and no line.

I assume this is sarcasm.
Posted on 5/19/22 at 11:29 am to SlowFlowPro
I hope you really are not stupid enough to to truly believe that.

I wish we had President Carter compared to this. At least we wouldn't be getting involved in Ukraine.
Carter would definitely have shipped arms to Ukraine. And so would Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump. Every president since FDR has shipped arms to the opponents of the Soviet Union/Russia.
