Found out my wife's job was moved to Dallas

We moved here in Central Illinois in 2010 from Dallas. All our kids were born there. My youngest will be a senior in HS next year. My middle daughter will be a freshman (likely at ULL- Don't ask). My job is flexible.
We told the kids and it was a hard day. I am ready to leave Illinois and get back South. My sentiments were not shared.

I’m no help. I left Charlotte NC and moved to Baton Rouge for my wife’s job. Our other choice was Nashville and I put my foot down and said Baton Rouge because I wanted to be closer to my parents.
