I rather live in Dallas than Illinois but I get why they are upset. Moving right before your senior year would suck. My mom had to do that

That would make it better than the current romper room.

They're kids dude. I'm sure they'll get over it eventually and be fine, but at that age that would feel like the end of the world.

this, plus with all of the social media ways to keep in contact with their friends it shouldn't be a big deal, part of life

Moving for your senior year in high school is just plain cruel. Figure that part out for your kid.

No state income tax in TX I believe?

Get out of Ill as fast as you can. My Dad's family is from there and all I ever heard was that Chicago ran everything in the state politically.

Your story is missing something in timeline. All your kids were born there since 2010 but youngest is going to be Sr in HS??????

I look forward to the WYHI threads of nurses that are caring for OT posters in retirement homes.

I left Home at 20 and moved to Arizona and then Charlotte. In 10 years they came to see me once. In the six years I have been “home” they have came to see me 3 or 4 times.

Damn son

I lived in Nashville with my wife for two years

My parents came see us 4 times in that span, hers about 5-6

Since moving back to NOLA, my parents have come in from BR about 20-25 times the last 2 years for lunch or to see their grandson

Mt Vernon is Southern IL, not Central IL, just like I don't consider Bloomington Central IL. It is centrally located, but Central Illinois would be, Decatur, Champaign, Springfield.

I'd associate Bloomington/Normal and Peoria more north kind of by its self. Not arguing and congrats to OP if him and wife are happy.

Maybe he works from home? I'm in a career where I can work from anywhere, so while I make more money than my wife, we could still possibly move due to her job because she doesn't have the ability to work remotely.

Sounds like OP is screening candidates to bang his wife in Dallas while he raises the kids in Illinois.

Need pictures of wife
