One of my closest friends is a pharmaceutical rep. He will be the first to tell you that it's a bullshite industry. The lobby pays to have the stories of people dying, just to drum of hysteria in the public. Most of the people are stupid enough to fall for anything that big pharma puts on TV.

99% of doctors don’t do this shite. It’s the creepy 1% that used to have pain clinics in strip malls (who are typically opioid addicts, sex addicts, etc) who would partake.

Yes they do via buying the prescription data from the Pharmacy Wholesalers.
Who are the pharmacy wholesalers?

Going to need more reference material

That’s your average medical/pharma sales rep. They’re all bimbos or Chads, not surprising in the slightest
Lumping a med device rep in with a pharma rep is like comparing a middle school basketball coach to a high level college or even pro coach.
Not even remotely close to the same thing.

We’re stayin’ in a Holiday Inn full of surgeons
I guess they meet there once a year
They exchange physician stories
And get drunk on Tuborg beer
Then they’re off to catch a stripper
With their eyes glued to her G
Well I don’t think
That I would ever let ‘em cut on me

You haven’t a clue if you lump Med Device in with Pharma!

TIL that lap dances caused the opioid epidemic.
So a lap dance isn't a type of kick back for pushing their drugs onto patients who don't need it? Also the drug in question is fentanyl (100x more potent than morphine), which is insanely potent and the type of drug that a Dr should not be pushing onto their patients. But yes the over prescription of opiates is the reason why it has gotten so bad. When you run out of the prescribed drugs, you turn to the streets which can be cut with all kinds of shite that will kill you like fentanyl.

Just making use of available resources.

Who would ever think that good looking people have more success in person to person sales? The assumption that people are dumb because they are good looking is very unfair.
Posted on 1/31/19 at 6:36 am to Cump11b
No shite. This is a common thing. Medical sales reps are dumb as rocks outside of a few that are pitching actual technology. I wouldn’t say lap dances are common. But doctors are rewarded for prescribing by being given nice dinners and gift cards and stuff

Dafuq kinda name is Sunrise.
Posted on 1/31/19 at 7:11 am to deeprig9
Catalyst Rx etc. basically wholesale Rx doctor prescribing data is your pharmacy benefit provider. Doctors can opt out from having their specific data counted but then it’s lumped by zip code.
Actual wholesale is a company like Cardinal that sells to CVS or Walgreens, they provide the stock bottles.

Nothing wrong with that more natural looking redhead. I'd take her over the balloon-lipped stripper.

The chick you all are saying is mad and is testifying could be a millionaire after it’s all done. Whistleblowers make money, lots of money.

So her legal name is actually Sunrise? I thought that was a stripper alias.
Or, as she was known around the doctors' offices, Morning-wood.

Fentanyl spray probably only has a place in healthcare in a hospice situation with no IV access and patient is NPO.
One of rhe pain management docs named in the indictment but not yet charged was prescribing it to non cancer orthopedic patients. Apparently that’s a big no no and he’s probabaly going to get hit. Sucks because I know he has a special needs young son, but that’s a dangerous side hustle. They had an article in April about it in the Palm Beach Post.
