You took that the wrong way. Someone said Finn wasn't credible. My feeling is that yes, he is credible, since Strain bent over backwards to make him comfortable for years... why would Strain do that? Clearly Finn had the goods on him.
Strain, Reed, Reed's weirdo brother, etc. are all pure scum.

Not saying he didn't do what he is accused of to Finn but he would have treated him the same, "goods" or not as their fathers were lifelong friends.

The case against Strain is there independent of how he treated Finn.

I dont doubt that this is true.. but the idea of ‘climbing the ladder’ of a small-town/suburb sheriff’s dept is hilarious, and sad.
