Amazing, I was under the Barskdale flight path that day and watched as air force one flew in with the president and escorted by fighters.
I heard a that he was actually on a jet that belonged to Entergy at the time a d that was set up as a decoy. Not sure if that's true or not.

Let's just forget about wasting billions of dollars creating a vacuum in Iraq that is now filled by ISIS, signing the Patriot Act, instituting the NSA spying, generally taking a dogshit on the Constitution, the "unitary executive doctrine", expanding Medicaid, etc.
Amazing how "small government conservatives" could revere Bush of all people. He was Obama without the funny name.

Lets calm down with the revisionist history. Bush did a good job in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, but the whole country was amazing in the aftermath. Bush also seems like a pretty decent guy, if a bit on the dim side. But his administration was atrocious, just as bad if not worse than Obama's. Patriot act, Iraq mess, the sub prime mortgage bubble, no child left behind has been a total failure. Again not saying Obama has been any better, but Obama's ineffectiveness doesn't make Bush's reign any better

"Saving lives" doesn't justify shitting on the Constitution.
Liberty and security and deserving neither and Ben Franklin and all that.

Can you honestly say that you think that BO would handle the 9/11 situation with as much poise and resolve as Bush did? Did he make mistakes? Sure but it's easy to point out mistakes after the fact. When faced with decisions Bush made them, stood by the decisions and dealt with the consequences - good, bad or indifferent.
He caught crap for finishing the story with the kids. But think about this for a second. He's in a room with a bunch of kids and press -- almost the same :). If someone whispers in his ear and he bolts or shows any reaction -- what does the press do? Freaks and starts reporting stuff that is inaccurate increasing the frenzy. He paused, showed poise. got the information he need began to move forward.
How long did BO's admin sit and drag out the OBL raid that you give him credit for - MONTHS. It takes a leader to make the hard decisions like shooting down a commercial air liner that could potentially kill thousands. The outcome of 9/11 would have been drastically different under the current administration. Just look at Benghazi as a prime example of how the current administration handles a time sensitive out of their control situation.
Not to mention who is spearheading sending millions of dollars to a country whose leader is saying "death to america."

I think life is vastly more important than someone being wire tapped. Can anyone name someone adversely affected by the Patriot Act?

Bush and Obama are the same ilk.
They both spearheaded sending millions of dollars to many middle eastern countries that hate the U.S.

Right on dr huggy. Some of these other folks in here seem to still have their Barry blinders on. I bet some would still vote for him a third time if they could!

The government has been caught lying time and time again about the efficacy of their Constitutional violations, they have also lied to Congress continually about the scope and extent of them.
Forgive me if I don't believe everything my nanny government tells me.

Even if we take your assumption to be true, and Obama would've choked under pressure, how would the outcome have been any different? All the planes hit their targets, except Flight 93 which was stopped by people on the plane not an order by Bush. Would people really not have rallied as much as they did if Obama had given worse speeches? There was no way we weren't going to retaliate against Al-Quaeda regardless of who was President. Maybe bush did it more expediently than Obama would have, but again how much of a positive change is that?
Regardless even if everything you say about 9/11 is true, it doesn't change how bad he was after. For starters that same "ability" to make decisions without much thinking bit him and everyone else in the arse when it came to Iraq. Which is still biting us in the arse since ISIS can be directly traced to that invasion, which was done in large part so Cheney and his oil buddies would have higher profits

Conservative/Republican/Southerner as rube is a stupid meme created and fed by the left and needs to die.

Yea for the most part. 95% of all elected officials at that high level would have done just as well. They don't get that far in govt by being total morons.
Now if you want to include the foolhardy adventure in Iraq that would pay for itself and be over in a few months into that reaction... well no, Obama would not have run into there like a fool. So actually, his reaction would have been better.

Oh noes!!! They made absolutely sure he was there before going in on a mission that was a one shot deal b/c failure meant the Pakistanis protecting him would know we were on to them. What a dumb arse thing to do!

He, more than likely would have never gone into Iraq period. He would have likely continued the War in Afghanistan, but would still likely have ended the campaign sooner, because after a few years voters are tired of the war. The buzz of "kill terrorist" had worn off and he'd need to get re-elected.

The whole invading Iraq was a mistake in predicated on the "we never found any WMDs." How long did we telegraph we were going into Iraq? Do you think Saddam didn't clear out most that he had in the 3 months we tried to get the UN to do their job before we went forward. The NY Times has since said there was WMDs - LINK
The real question is ... Bush owned what he did. He has said he made mistakes but he has also said he did the best he could in the situation. How is it that 6 years into his presidency it's still bush's fault. Or someone else in my administration did that. BO owns up to NOTHING. That is not a leader.

Not to mention Obama trying to befriend people that hate us, and will always religiously hate us. Rather than "kicking arse".
Obama: You hate us? Ok, let me buy your next round of weapons to kill us with.
