Yeah, I agree with this.. What is jail going to "teach her"?

Well that was the wrong thing to do. It was very, very stupid. But if that's all she did, and not something like taking bribes, does she really deserve jail time?

The conduct in the video: You can hear someone say "this city is going to burn" and someone else says "the pictures (on the courtroom wall) say it all." As always, the race card is thrown out to help some woman who was convicted and exhausted all her appeals.

If I was the presiding judge in that court I would have directed the bailiffs to remand every person who started screaming and sentenced each of them to 6 months for direct contempt of court.

To have some respect for the judicial system, not to betray public confidence, not to violate the law, to behave in the courtroom, to not encourage her supports to engage in acts of violence ...

I’m all for that, but that could be a death sentence given her former career.

Reading further about it shows that she is a hero in the black community and that they all wanted her to be let go. The prosecuting attorney is going to the Governor to ask that her sentence be commuted.

Apparently she was stealing money too, but there was not enough evidence to convict her of that. She was found not guilty on 8-9 charges by a jury of her cheerleaders.

Well, going by her reaction, and having to be dragged to the booking room, I'm gonna say that she's about to learn that her shite, in fact, DOES stink.

Why am I laughing at the term “ she went limp” in that article?

Good point. I mean, being a former judge an all, she isn't going to be the most popular person in prison. I guess it does send a message that no one is above the law.
