To the tune of
Marie Laveau

Down in Louisiana, up in North BR,
Works a real crooked lady, Tarsha Clark-Amar,
Got a big fat paycheck and her mom’s a judge,
Looking like Grimace, made outta fudge,

She gotta MIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLAGGGGEE, another tax done gone,

She runs a little scam called the COA,
Where she cons the people when they’re old and gray,
Some cold cheese pizza and some time to kill,
Next thing you know She’s wrote herself in your will,

Then she’ll just SUUUUUUUUUE, and then the money done gone,

Tried to bilk the family even though they’re black.
But she didn’t count on lil’ Snoopin’ Nak,
Rooting out corruption all around BR,
Now he’s bringin’ the heat on Tarsha Clark-Amar,

He said “Mrs. Clark-Amar, didn’t you see,
It’s unethical to cheat this woman’s family.”
But she stuttered and she sputtered as she pushed him out,
Says she don’t know what Nak’s talking about,

Didn’t have a CLUUUUUUUUUEEEEE,
Where all the money done gone,

So DyTarsha called some favors and she greased the right palms,
Blamed the family and others then she called her mom,
Then she jiggled as she giggled and said with a grin,
“I been witch hunt wit’ all these acquisitions.”

But ol’ Snoopin Nak, he said “oh not So quick!,
You and Mrs. Jackson really think you’re slick.”
Then Tarsha called mayor Broome,
Called in favors due,
Made sure the Metro Council
Got the tax pushed through,

What will she DOOOOOOOOOOO? Where has the cash done gone?

So now Tarsha’s driving a new fancy car,
All her friends gettin’ raises thanks to Ms. Amar,
If she asks for money for the COA,
Just remember what happens when she gets her way,

Taxpayers get SCREEEEEEEEEWWED, where all the money done gone?

I was at the Sandestin Hilton last December and saw the COA was holding a conference there.

That is brilliant. I don’t know what you do for a living, but I hope it involves song or story writing.

Thank you. It just struck me and so I sat down for about half an hour and cranked it out.

You’d be surprised but “lampooning local figures through poetry and prose” isn’t exactly something that stands out on a resume.

If you know of somewhere that considers it a marketable skill let me know.

I’ve got kids to feed and bills to pay.

Me too. I was actually singing it aloud. Amazing. This needs to be put to music. Great job.

You're alive in the wrong era. It's a damn shame.

Hmm. I can't find the salary range for minstrels in the middle ages on glassdoor. Still! I feel like it's a very underappreciated talent.

Some appreciate it, some don’t.

I did a Tupac Style Rap about Gravy the other night.
