What’s all this talk about people with chips in their cars?

I can attest to this. I just bought one and got the credit. I told the salesman I would have paid way more than that to have it taken out.

I'd pay extra to have this removed TODAY.

If that chip that they are waiting on, only has that one feature, they are stupid for not selling them without it, as 90% of the people don't want that anyway.

My 2021 F150 XLT came without. I am very pleased. Is there not a On/Off button on the dash to disengage?

Is that only for circumcised Fords?
Oh wait. Sorry. Read that wrong.

Wait, so they are going to pay me to not have that useless and annoying feature?

Just wait a year or so when cars without chips on the lots finally get the chips but are already outdated so they sell them at huge discounts just to recoup the cost to build it. You’ll get a new truck for 10-15k off sticker

So Ford is apologizing for saving their buyers half a tank of gas by removing a feature whose sole purpose is to frick up your starter?

Lol okay.

No way they would charge you 50 bucks id you had to fix it and went to the dealer. This is bullshite.

GM shipped thousands of trucks without heated seats and will retrofit for free.

That's what I think Ford is doing.

Due to a lack of chips, GMC tried to sell me a new AT4 with no back up camera, no front and rear sensors and no auto start/stop. No discount. frick off!

The Silverado has been missing this feature for almost a year. IMO that's a plus. I'll never ask a dealer to put that back on.

They're cheapening the seats too, because of chips. For example, an XLT that might have gotten an 8 way seat could be getting 2 way adjustments....for the same price.

I just bought an Acura MDX Type S. It has heated, AC'd, eight way massaging automatic seats. Ain't cheap and full of microchip technology.

Some of the Mercedes we were looking at a couple of weeks ago didn't have power seats because of the chip shortage. $700 credit. We passed, would rather have the power seat.

Ah yes. Without those power seats, you'd have to adjust your seat manually every 6 months when the help has to drive your car to the dealership for an oil change.
