I would love to look at that guy's finances. Bet he has a nice boat too. And is "cash poor".
He'll work until he's 80, but there is something to be said for enjoying the hell out of yourself along the way.

I don't care what make of car it is. Spending over $30k for a vehicle is just dumb.
There is a difference between dumb and unnecessary. Spending over $15k is usually unnecessary, but it's not dumb if it's something you enjoy.

Oh hell yeah.
I spend money to have fun. I'm not some FIRE person or Dave Ramsey guru.
I just do it with a smidgen of financial planning thoughtfulness so I can retire before I'm dead

Yea I know. I wouldnt buy one now. Too much money for what I need. Hell I bought a SxS in 2013 and stopped going off road in the raptor at that point. I do miss the way it floated down the interstate.

All trucks are overpriced, this is just the biggest example, but people like stickers on the side of their truck, and they are willing to pay a premium.

That’s just dumb, any 4 x 4 shop can create you the same truck for 30 K less

I've seen a few Ford Special Edition trucks at Green Ford here in Greensboro for over $100k. They were all about $106k.

But if you really price out the individual differences between the fully loaded F150 4 x 4 and the raptor, The raptor really shouldn’t be Priced where it is.
Is there a new vehicle that is priced fairly at MSRP?

Are people buying them? Yes?
Then they are not overpriced.

They are over[riced but I had them remove my stickers including the dealership vinyl. They thought I was nuts.

You pay extra for the term "Raptor" but not as much as you think. This is not like buying an Apple v. PC where you pay for the logo. The Raptor is indeed a bad arse machine.
FWIW you can buy a used one for ~50-60k which is what you pay for some of the higher brand trucks now anyway.
