Raptor is Ford's version of the Ram SRT.

Utterly pointless but badass.

The in house aftermarket SVT vehicles also hold their value really well. I bought a used SVT vehicle two years ago and it is still worth what I paid for it today.

One very dumbass statement!

No, I haven't paid over $30k for a vehicle.

It's America, dumbass. People can buy whatever they want.

They hold value really well and a used one is actually a good value proposition for a truck.

meh, I know a guy who has a raptor and a mclaren. He doesn’t seem too worried about the cost of his vehicles.

I’ve seen two or three-year-old ones going for 58K

But if you really price out the individual differences between the fully loaded F150 4 x 4 and the raptor, The raptor really shouldn’t be Priced where it is.

Take an fx4 on the baja run or snowball 500 and see how long it runs.

Ford Raptor

Ford finally builds a truck worth looking at; can't comment on the price but at least it looks good

Yeah, MSRP is a bit high but that trend applies to the half ton truck market as a whole. Dealer markups are another thing.

I’d be hesitant to say it’s grossly overpriced given the resale though. Would have to think a loaded F150 platinum is still going to depreciate more than a Raptor. I know you aren’t talking about used Raptors, but Doug Demuro did a whole video about why the Raptor is a great used vehicle purchase if you have the space and money for one.

Is it over priced? Absolutely, but it is a different body style than the other F150s

Any of the higher end Ford’s are a huge waste of money. I think it was last year that they came out with their first 100k truck. I would drive a fiat before paying that much for a ford

shite, you could argue any vehicle over $15k is a waste of money.

But people waste money on plenty of things. Live and let live.

One of the dad's from our baseball team drives a 2019 Raptor.

$115,000 and I've never seen a spec of dirt on it

And yes his son is named Jayden :)

I would love to look at that guy's finances.

Bet he has a nice boat too. And is "cash poor".

Seriously? This is the equivalent of hanging truck nuts on a fully loaded dodge ram and adding 15 K to the sticker

Suspension, bodywork, high output engine...

Should I go on?

There are little things that people dont count also. On the 2010 I had the front control arms were cast iron. Not sure what is on the new ones. Heavy but incredibly strong compared to what you get on the other trims

I was going for the very obvious stuff that OP is obviously clueless on

The Raptor is a bargain compared to trying to take a stock F150 and build something equivalent for the same cost.
